BRIEF

As the designer/animator for the National College Championship, a special Jeopardy! spinoff, I was responsible for overseeing all visual elements that defined the show’s unique brand identity. This competition, which exclusively invited college students as contestants, required fresh and engaging visuals that would resonate with a younger audience. My work included the creation of the show logo, main title, in-show graphics, and the development of supporting elements such as trophy design, set design ideas, and tournament-format graphics. Additionally, I created social media-friendly assets to enhance viewer engagement and support the at-home experience.

• Brand Identity: Led the design of the overall brand identity, including the show logo and main title sequence.
• In-Show Graphics: Designed all on-screen graphics, including tournament format graphics, contestant information displays, and bracket visuals.
• Trophy & Set Design Concepts: Collaborated with the production team to conceptualize trophy designs and set ideas, helping to bring the show's unique identity to life.
• Social Media Engagement: Created interactive and shareable bracket designs to be distributed across social media platforms, encouraging audience participation and increasing viewer engagement.

ABOUT LOGO

The logo for the National College Championship blends the classic feel of Jeopardy! with the youthful energy of college tournaments. Bracket elements were incorporated to reflect the competitive, sports-like nature of the event. During the 3D design phase, we added gold and silver finishes to complement the on-set graphics and trophy materials, creating a polished, cohesive look that captures the prestige and excitement of the tournament.

The trophy design for the National College Championship was inspired by the idea of balancing academic excellence with the prestige of being crowned Jeopardy! National College Champion. Through extensive exploration in Cinema 4D, along with ongoing collaboration with the production team, we crafted a design that incorporates the championship logo in the form of an atom. This symbolizes both knowledge and competition. The final design was carefully executed with the selected medium and colors to ensure it aligned with the overall event branding, creating a striking and meaningful award.
